Beyond "Ellison’s Matrix": New Directions in Behavioral Industrial Organization∗

We discuss new research directions in the field of behavioral industrial organization that we find promising: identification of new unobservables in equilibrium models, strengthening links with abstract choice theory, and integrating behavioral IO models in larger models of the economy.
